Christmas lunch is enough to satisfy the urge to cook shedloads of festive food; what you need is our boxing day menu in Sussex
There’s no doubt about it; Christmas Day is stressful when it comes to food. Once the prep, the cooking, and the washing up are done, the last thing you want to do is go through it all again the next day. Booking a table at The Lamb on Boxing Day is a very sensible option indeed; delicious food, without the stress! We’ve even got a special menu for the occasion.
Those still in the mood for roast delights will find the topside of beef, leg of Sussex lamb, or belly of pork particularly appealing; whereas if you’ve got a craving for a more year-round dish, our house beef burger or 10oz steak might be more up your street. There’s Christmas pud on the dessert menu if you’ve not had enough already, or a lemon and lime posset if you fancy something refreshing. This, of course, isn’t the entire selection – you can find that here.
This menu isn’t just available on Boxing Day – you can get it on New Years Day too. Nothing will soak up champagne from the night before quite like the offerings from our kitchen! Book your table here.
Being a free house in Sussex means we can give a world of choice to our customers
First of all, let us explain by what we mean when we say we’re a free house in Sussex; we’re a pub that’s not owned or controlled by a brewery. If you’re familiar with the recent history of The Lamb, you’ll know that it’s our family that own and run it. This freedom is instrumental to the success of our bar, because it means there’s always plenty of choice to offer our customers.
Sussex is blessed with a great many breweries based in all corners of our beautiful county, so we’re always switching up our lineup with tasty brews from these local suppliers. Harveys, for example, is a brewery based in Lewes, East Sussex, who provide pubs like ours with their traditional cask ales – and they’re always very popular!
It’s not just beers that we have an excellent selection of – it’s wines too. e thoroughly enjoy the freedom we have to talk to outstanding wine merchants, in order to create the list we have today of diverse choices that suit all budgets, with no compromise made on quality. Our list includes great value for money, a regularly updated selection of wines, and plenty of explanation surrounding them.
Our vast choice of drinks is a reflection on our status as a free house in Sussex, and we couldn’t be prouder to pleasantly surprise our customers with beers and wines they’ve not yet tried. Why not pop in and see what’s on at the moment?
