Our Pub

The perfect place to relax and unwind

Whether you’re tucked up next to the roaring inglenook fire in winter, enjoying the sunshine in our terraced garden, or taking a well deserved break in one of the gorgeous hotel rooms, The Lamb is a gastro pub in West Sussex that you can truly feel at home in. Full of charm and comfort, this beautiful building first opened its doors to the people of Angmering and beyond in 1775, and continues to be a well loved focal point of the village today.

Our Bar

We’re proud to say that The Lamb at Angmering is a free house, which means you can guarantee a wide and regularly changing selection of beers, wines and spirits. Here in Sussex, we benefit from a great many local breweries, and this is reflected in our lineup on a daily basis. You’ll just have to come back to try it all.

Our Restaurant

While our bar offers a relaxed area to eat, if you are looking for a finer dining experience, our restaurant is a cosy and attractive place to meet friends, enjoy a romantic meal or just appreciate our food in quieter surroundings. Table service and full a la carte menu with an extensive wine list awaits.

Our Garden Terrace

There's nothing better than a glass of something cold in natural surroundings, which is why our terrace is a haven of calm for everyone who visits. Thanks to attractive planting and a view across St Nicholas Gardens, our garden is the perfect place for a bite to eat with family and friends, or just a quiet drink. Sit down, chill out, and enjoy the atmosphere of our outside space.

Our Wine

It’s not just the selection of beers that impresses; our wine list is extensive too! We thoroughly enjoy the freedom we have to talk to outstanding wine merchants, in order to create the list we have today of diverse choices that suit all budgets, with no compromise made on quality. Our list includes great value for money, a regularly updated selection of wines, and plenty of explanation surrounding them.

Our Location

Nestled wonderfully between the beautiful South Downs and the attractive Sussex coastline just 2 miles away, Angmering enjoys the best of all worlds.  Perfect for sight seeing in neighbouring Sussex towns and villages, or for walkers needing a place to stay or somewhere to refuel along the way. The Lamb at Angmering is the ideal place to stay for Goodwood and Chichester (12 miles), Arundel (4 miles), Littlehampton (4 miles), Worthing (6 miles) and Brighton (18 miles).

Our Pub Past & Present

Full of enthusiasm and looking for a new challenge, our family took on The Lamb, empty at the time, in 2011. Through devising and executing an extensive refurbishment programme that brought back the beauty of this building and stayed loyal to it's roots, we've got a pub to be proud of in the village of Angmering today. We’re thrilled that it’s still the place to head for in Angmering, and we’re indebted to village historian Neil Rogers-Davis, who has helped us uncover the rich history of The Lamb. He's provided us with unparalleled insight into what life has been like for this treasured pub, and we're always excited to share it with similarly curious customers.
