The Room
Charles Newman is a light, bright and airy room in our boutique Sussex hotel, featuring its very own private dressing room. A view over Angmering square will provide guests with an insight into bustling village life, and the beautiful vintage furnishings add not only style to the space, but comfort too.
Who was Charles Newman?
Charles Newman was landlord at The Lamb from 1832, when the building was owned by Messrs Henty and was still no bigger than a good sized Georgian dwelling. He oversaw a time for The Lamb when it was a high status village public house, used by local people as a meeting place in the clubrooms.
