The Room
Tucked in the eaves of The Lamb is this very special suite, which consists of two separate rooms. The double bedroom overlooks Angmering's beautiful village square, and the vintage decorations are complimented perfectly by the exposed beams. The second room can be used either as a private lounge, or as a second bedroom, with a TV, and a sofa that easily converts to a bed. We think this makes it the most beautiful family hotel room in West Sussex. Please note that due to the low beams, there is a height restriction of 188cm in these rooms.
Who was Albert Dodds?
Albert Dodds was landlord of The Lamb from 1946, when a publican's job in post-war Britain was to retain the sense of community built during the war. At the time, the pub was owned by Lambert & Norris of Eagle Brewery in Arundel. Though no longer running, the signage for Eagle Brewery Offices can still be seen on Brewery Hill in Arundel.
